Ironclad Title is proud to be a leader in the real estate transaction industry. Our attorneys and staff maintain a vigorous training schedule throughout the year to insure that we remain current and knowledgeable with all new laws, rules, and regulations affecting the industry, including those regulations promulgated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), who has, beginning in October 2015, assumed control of most residential mortgage transactions. For years, our attorneys and staff have been working closely with lenders to educate their staffs on the potential pitfalls of new regulations, providing title and closing services for their residential and commercial transactions, helping . By working together, Ironclad Title and the lender can make a great team for the buyer, together facilitating a smooth closing process.
In an effort to prove competence and capabilities to understand and work within the CFPB’s rule, the American Land Title Association (ALTA) developed a seven-pillar system, better known as Best Practices. Compliance with Best Practices proves to you, the homebuyer, as well as the Lender that the title company is fully prepared for the changing processes. Best Practice certification also proves to the homebuyer that the title company is professional and diligent in fulfilling its duties as a settlement agent to close your transaction.
On July 8, 2015, Ironclad Title became the FIRST title company in the State of Louisiana to obtain Best Practice Compliance Certification by an independent third party.
