Katherine was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and currently lives in the area with her husband, Cole Remy, also a native of Lake Charles.
Katherine graduated from Louisiana State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal, Dairy, and Poultry Sciences. She then received her Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University where she served as President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and also as an LSU Law Ambassador. Katherine received a CALI Award for excellence in legal research and writing.
Before entering her legal practice, Katherine worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Kathleen Kay at the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana (Lake Charles division) in 2017 and for the Honorable Pamela Baker at the Family Court for East Baton Rouge Parish in 2019.
In her spare time, Katherine enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking her dog for walks, traveling, and watching the LSU Tigers.
